Casting Sara Colombiana - Pablo Lapiedra Part2l

Between December 2007 and January 2008, Lapiedra, alongside Piedrahita, targeted young women in Medellín, often approaching them near schools. Lapiedra assured them they were being offered a legitimate opportunity—a simple "casting" for a modeling job or a commercial that would never be shown in Colombia. For many impoverished families, the promise of up to 700 euros (about 1,000 dollars at the time) was a lifeline.

Part 2 opens weeks after Sara's narrow escape from the cartel-controlled party. She has relocated to Bogotá under a false name, working nights at a medical clinic while trying to maintain a low profile. Pablo Lapiedra, whose suave exterior hides a network of favors and debts, resurfaces with an offer: help him expose a political laundering ring that uses cultural centers and music venues as fronts — in exchange for papers that would let Sara leave Colombia safely.
