Resetting the digital counter stops the error code, but it inside the machine. Over time, the saturated felt pads will leak ink onto your desk or ruin the internal circuit boards. After performing a software reset, it is highly recommended to physically open the bottom casing of the printer to wash or replace the absorbent felt pads, or install an external waste ink dump bottle.
: While still holding the Stop/Reset button, press and hold down the Power button. The green power LED will illuminate.
The V3600 version is most famously used for resetting internal maintenance counters.
