The plot centers around Arlete (played by Camila Queiroz), a naive young woman from the countryside who moves to São Paulo with dreams of becoming a top fashion model. To support her struggling family, she joins a prestigious modeling agency managed by the ambitious Fanny Richard (Marieta Severo). Arlete is soon given the stage name "Angel" and introduced to the agency's hidden reality: the "book rosa" (pink book), a secret catalog of models who offer companionship and high-class escort services to wealthy clients.
